Mohammad Shahed Naeemi, Radio Nawa

A young Afghan journalist Mohammad Shahed Naeemi, lost his life following a suicide attack in capital Kabul early Sunday morning.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the bomber targeted a bus carrying Afghan National Army (ANA) staff to work. Two civilians and two ANA soldiers were killed and 22 others wounded in the bombing.

The director of Nawa Radio Station and Sabah TV channel told to Afghanistan Journalists Center said that Naeemi an employee of the radio happened to be near the bus; waiting for the staff car.

Mohammad Shahed Naeemi 22 was hired as producer and host of two social and literary programs of Nawa Radio as of September 2013, she added.

Taliban claimed responsibility behind the attack claimed the worst since a devastating assault on a Lebanese restaurant on January 17th killed 21 foreigners and Afghan civilians.

Jafar Wafa, the reporter of radio “Kala Goosh” of Noorestan

Jafar Wafa, the reporter of non-government “Kala Goosh” radio of Noorestan province died when a roadside bomb went off in Basram area of Metralam city in Laghman province.

Noorestan Provincial Governor, Mohammad Tamim Noorestani called Jafar Wafa a hardworking and talented reporter. Mr. Noorestani said that death of Wafa was shocking and great loss to the reporters’ society of the country.
