Afghan Media Delegation Visits China

Kabul: As part of a trilateral process, a joint media delegation of Afghanistan and Pakistan touring in China to visit various Chinese media, think tanks and enterprises.

The program has been organized by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the delegation including 10 senior media personnel from Afghanistan and Pakistan (5 people for each country) will visit Beijing, Shanghai and Jinggangshang during the week-long trip.

“The main purpose of the visit is implementing the consensus made at China-Afghanistan-Pakistan Practical Cooperation Dialogue, and also to improve the media exchange and cooperation among the three countries.” the Chinese embassy in Kabul said in a statement.

The engagements of the delegations include visit to the China Global Television Network (CGTN), International Cooperation Center (ICC), China Railway Group, China Great Wall Industry Corporation, Center for South Asian Studies in Peking University, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Palace Museum, Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base Area, China Pilot Free Trade Zone, Palace Museum and meeting with Chinese Official at Ministry of Foreign Affair.

The Exchange of delegations from different walks of life of the three neighboring countries would help strengthen friendly and cordial relations between Afghanistan, Pakistan and China, media representatives of both countries said during the meeting with the Chinese counterparts at the CGTN.
